Dear Parents and Students,
I trust that you’ve had a relaxing few days. Even though we’ve had a great time with our families, it’s time to get back into the school.
Many of our students are doing well while others are having difficulty getting back into things. We’ve had some rude behavior from some of the boys and we’ll be dealing with it appropriately. This seems to be typical Monday morning behavior even though it’s Wednesday! Please remind your child to be respectful of others.
Exam papers
The exam papers were sent home last week so please make sure to ask for them. Sign and return them by Thursday, April 7th, 2016.
There were no rewrites of papers, as there doesn’t seem to be a point to it all. Very often, the student rewrites and gets the same if not a lower score thus wasting time. If you feel that your child needs to rewrite, please contact me and I will make arrangements for them to rewrite during their lunch break.
Semester scores
I will reiterate that the semester scores are on Learnboost.com. The same access codes used last semester will work for your account. If you haven’t accessed the Learnboost account, I will be resending the information this week. Please note that the score you see will differ from the school report as I incorporate all the work the student has or has not done this semester.
Due to the fact that we’ve had so many disruptions to our schedule with exams and days off, we are a bit behind schedule. A combined weekly test for weeks 7 and 8, will take place on Friday, April 8th, 2016
Fashion Show Project
The students have been designing their own fashion show and due to time restrictions, we may need to extend the deadline for another week. J
Outing
We are going on an outing this afternoon and will post information and pictures on Facebook as well as on the blog if possible. We will be visiting an Aboriginal museum.
Homework
Due to the Children’s Day/Tomb Sweeping holiday, our children have had a mini break.
Today however, they do have homework.
Wednesday
1. Complete page 5 (week 7 worksheet)
2. Write the corrections of sentences.
3. Read page 20-29(MSW level C)
Thursday
1. Complete comprehension on Hair-raising Styles.
2. Study for Test on Wk 7 and 8: vocabulary and meanings.
Friday
1. Review p20-29
2. Preview p34-43 (MSW level C)
3. Write corrections
